As an established artist my business primarily consists of commissioned House Portraits but my love of literature has also drawn me specifically to writers’ houses.
It began with my favourite poet, Dylan Thomas but now I've expanded the range to other great literary  figures I admire. I travel all over the country taking photographs and making sketches but wherever possible I like to try and capture the property as it was when the author lived there. They don't have to be Poets or Novelists. I've drawn Beatrix Potter's house at Hill Top for example. I'm in the process of drawing John Ruskin's magnificent house, 'Brantwood'.. and he wasn't merely a writer but an art critic, a watercolourist, a social thinker.
My ambition is to draw the home of any agent of the written word, fiction to memoir, from whose work I personally have drawn inspiration.
